Privacy notice.

OntoLedgy is a research-led practice in semantic AI. This page explains what personal data the site collects, why, who it is shared with, and the rights data subjects have under UK and EU data protection law.

Last updated: 27 April 2026.

Who is the data controller.

The data controller for personal data processed via this site is OntoLedgy Limited, registered at 71 Marbaix Gardens, Thornbury Road, Isleworth, England, TW7 4FD. Privacy queries can be sent to contact@ontoledgy.io.

Company information.

  • Registered name: OntoLedgy Limited
  • Company number: 11335504
  • Company type: Private limited company
  • Place of registration: England and Wales
  • Registered office: 71 Marbaix Gardens, Thornbury Road, Isleworth, England, TW7 4FD
  • Incorporated: 28 April 2018

What data is collected, and why.

The only feature on this site that collects personal data is the contact form. When a message is submitted, the following information is stored:

  • Email address — to reply to the message.
  • Message content — to understand the enquiry.
  • IP address and browser user-agent string — to apply rate limits and defend against automated abuse of the contact endpoint.
  • Submission timestamp — to support the rate limit and audit handling of the message.

The site does not use cookies, does not run analytics or advertising scripts, does not embed third-party trackers, and does not fingerprint visitors.

Lawful basis for processing.

Contact-form data is processed on the lawful basis of legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f) / EU GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — namely, responding to enquiries sent voluntarily through the form, and protecting the contact endpoint from abuse. Submission of the form is itself a clear, deliberate act, so consent is also implicit in the act of sending the message.

Who the data is shared with.

Personal data is shared with the following processors strictly to deliver the service above:

  • Resend (Resend.com, Inc.) — handles transactional email so the contact-form notification can reach the OntoLedgy inbox. Resend processes the email address and message content as a sub-processor.
  • Hosting infrastructure for ontoledgy.io — receives standard request metadata (IP address, user-agent, request path, timestamps) as part of operating the web server.

Personal data is not sold, rented, or shared with any other third party, and is not transferred outside the UK or EEA except to the extent that the processors above operate internationally under their own published safeguards.

How long the data is kept.

Contact-form submissions are retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to handle the enquiry and any follow-up correspondence, and are then deleted. Server access logs (which include IP addresses) are retained for a short rolling window for operational and security purposes.

Data subject rights.

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, individuals have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data held about them.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of their data (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Request portability of data they have provided.
  • Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or the relevant supervisory authority in their EU member state.

Requests can be sent to contact@ontoledgy.io and will be responded to within one month, in line with GDPR.
